Things to Do
St Petersburg has many outdoor activities, but it's also a town of sports fans. Many residents spend time at Tropicana Field, where they cheer on the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. They may also cheer on the racers at the annual Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, a 100-lap IndyCar Series race. St Petersburg embraces art and culture as much as it does sports. The city hosts the annual St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival at South Straub Park, where hundreds of artists display their work over an eventful weekend. Be sure to attend Savor St Pete, an annual festival celebrating the city's local cuisine, wine, and craft beer selections.
